Rockcliff 1/26 Slush Monster
#1
Parked the wheeler at the bottom where the Ice started and pulled the sled a short distance towards the far south buoy.
The Ice is terrible, slush is over your rubber bottoms on pack boots. Fishing was good for 11" trout in 13 ft of water.
Caught a dozen or so but left them all to grow up. Was deterred by the slush monster from finding deeper water that might hold a perch. Actually packed the auger a couple hundred feet and drilled a couple more holes for a move but realized the packed location I had come from was much dryer so I packed the Auger back and never moved.

Thanks for the report. That is unfortunate. How thick was the actual ice?

That time of year when the slush comes out to play.

The actual Ice was 7 inches but it was wet ice, the kind that drags on the auger. Not -- nice clean Ice that shaves of like it is really frozen. It was safe Ice at the time but not by much. No one was using a motorized vehicle on it, everyone parked at the edge and walked.
