Fish Lake Perch Tournament Update
#1
Today we sent out an email to all who registered for the Fish Lake Perch Tournament. Just in case you haven't seen it yet...

Perch Tournament Participants:

This year’s event is gearing up to be fantastic, thank you for signing up. We look forward to seeing you at Fish Lake on Saturday. There are a few things we would like to make you aware of to help make the event fun and successful.

1. We have posted a map at: http://wildlife.utah.gov/pdf/fish_lake_map.pdf This map provides information for camping, trailer parking, and locations for Tournament Officials.

2. We have had a lot of snow at the lake. Numerous organizations (Forest Service, UDOT, Sevier County, and Fish Lake Lodge) have worked extremely hard to ensure we have parking areas plowed. When parking please find ways to park your vehicle to allow for as many available spots as possible. Please avoid bringing trailers/ATV’s if possible. There will be areas designated for trailer parking (see map link above) for those who may require one, however space is very limited.

3. When checking in on Saturday morning, we will have Tournament Officials scattered around the lake. Please look for someone carrying a clip board and check-in. Check in will begin at 7:00 am. Only those who have registered and checked-in will be eligible for raffle prizes at the end of the day. Raffle will be done randomly on a computer by Tournament Officials and winners will be announced at the end of the day.

4. Anyone catching a tagged perch must immediately take the fish to a Tournament Official at one of three locations: Lakeside Marina, Twin Creeks parking area, or Joe Bush. 1,000 perch have been tagged and released along the west (near the road and parking areas) shoreline from Mallard Bay to the narrows at Pelican Point. The first 100 tagged perch caught and turned in will win prizes. Any remaining prizes will be included in the Raffle.

5. Sevier County and Utah's Trail Country will be sponsoring a Facebook contest for the tournament. Just take up to a 90 second video of your Perch Tournament experience at Fish Lake on January 30th and then post it to the Utah Trail Country's Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/utahtrailcountry/) as soon as your technical experience allows. The two videos with the most “likes” by noon on Monday, February 8, 2016 will earn their video makers a $250 Visa gift card. For more info, visit http://trailcountry.com/.

6. We have a lot of great prizes this year. Donations have come from numerous organizations and retailers. There is a list of all those who have contributed in some way below, without all these great people this event would not be possible. Please take the opportunity to thank them when you have a chance.

7. Please do not start fishing until the official start time 8:00 am

8. Don’t forget your 2-way radio. We will be on Channel 4.0

9. Most of all HAVE FUN and be SAFE!

Quick question. Is it to late to register? I saw that registration is closed online and was wondering if people can register at the lake Saturday morning. Me and my buds didn't know we had to register online so we're hoping that we can still register. If not we learned from our mistakes and we will definitely register on time next time 😀

How early are you allowed to set up your tent? Say I wanted to set up at 5:00 to avoid the bulk of the crowds. Thanks in advance.
