Went to Syracuse pond yesterday, not very exciting I know but I did pretty good. Used a combo of mealworm and shrimp on the bottom, them buggars were hitting a ton but very lightly and had a hard time hooking em. Managed to bring in several trout and two catfish. Hooked a drag peeler that got off the hook but it was an exciting day

Welcome to the site crazykid, was there open water there or were you fishing on ice? Sounds like you had a good day.

I was also there yesterday with my boys. Super light bite for us as well. We caught 6 small rainbows and a 16 inch brookie. Missed at least 20 more bites. It's a fun place to go for a quick couple hours.
Edit-it was all open water.
