The edges at Echo are really soft. Started to venture out by the boat ramp, but decided to turn around as did two other groups. Nobody brought a plank, so it was no go. Saw some people by the dam. I think they got down there by going down the steep hill.

I know the ice is plenty thick once you are on it but its that time of the year when we are going to need a plank if we are going ice fishing, at least at the lower elevation lakes. With the warmer temps we have been having there has been a lot of run off, causing the lakes to start filling and pulling the ice away from the shore. Its going to have to get really cold for them to refreeze but it could happen, if we are lucky[:/].
