The Berry ice
#1
[#800000]The ice on Strawberry as of Feb 27, 2016 is at least 15" thick and the edges are solid and frozen. There is absolutely no danger with continuing to ice fish there far at least another 3 to 4 weeks. We plan on ice fishing there until the 3rd or 4 week of March as we have for the last 2 years. The temperature at the lake when we arrived at about 7:30 was 7 degrees.[/#800000]

I have never ice fished the Berry, so I am fishing for some advice. Without the means to an atv or snowmobile. Is parking in the Marina and walking out normal practice for those in my situation? Not certain about the parking areas outside the Marina along hwy 40 either. Any info would help. Thanks!!!

[#800000]You can use the marina for foot access. There is a plowed lot available at The Ladders area as well as at the Chicken Creek area. I'm not sure if the CC area is east or west. I don't know if they plow the Mud Creek road or not. Slush and deep snow have not been a problem the last 2 years and last Saturday was no different. There were lots of walk on folks in the Ladders and CC areas. [/#800000]
