Made what will probably be my last ice trip of the year. Between 2 of us caught 50+ rainbows. Most of which were on the shy side of 10". Still made for a good time. Did manage 1 picture worthy. Nice fat tiger. Good way to end the season. Good fishing and beautiful weather.

Sounds like a great way to end the season, what kind of jig were you using to catch that tiger?

That one came on a dead stick minnow. I broke off another big one that took an orange and smoke powerbait nymph on 1/8 ounce glow jig head with waxie.

I've never tried powerbait nymph's before, have you had much success with them? It seems few people catch the tigers while ice fishing or don't post about it.

I use them pretty often and do pretty well on them for most trout species. They are an inch and a half soft plastic that gets lots of movement. I have had fairly decent success on tigers through the ice.
