Fish lake?

I was thinking about taking my kids down to fish lake tomorrow to catch some perch, just wondering if someone might be able to give me a good idea of where to go on the lake that has pretty easy access (I am bringing my 4 year old) thanks in advance.

When I was there two weeks ago the access was pretty good all around the west side of the lake. The north end near Joe's Bush area had decent perch fishing about 75 yards off shore directly out from the parking area. Try 13 to 18 feet of water near the edge of the weeds. I've heard the fishing for perch was also pretty good on the south end near the marina and store. The ice was still plenty thick and walking on the surface was easy with no slush or snow.

Keep an eye on the weather. There will be a storm approaching so be prepared for some strong south winds. If you have a shelter make sure to stake it down completely and use the side tie ropes as well. Try to position a corner of your shelter into the wind so you don't get the full force on a side of the tent.
