Bullfrog hotels
#1
Myself and some buddies are hoping to get a hotel on the cheap for 3 nights at Bullfrog at the end of this month.
We want it cheap cause we will be in the hotel very little, the entire day will be spent on the boats.
I have never tried a hotel down there before and could use some pointers.
Or, if someone knows of a houseboat? We wont move the houseboat, only sleep and eat there.
Thanks!

Hello SBennett, you can rent a trailer at Bullfrog for 159 anight has three bedrooms a rollaway bed, stove, fridge microwave, two showers,an outside barbaque, and a couch/ They are real close to the ramp. They used to be cheaper but they raised the price. They are real nice and they have tv. Coffee pot and all the pots and pans and silverware. Good luck.

It's off season at Powell with good deals. We stayed at BF lodge several years ago at a great price. They also as I recall have a couple mobile homes to rent. Call the Lake Powell line and ask. I personally think you'd enjoy staying inside that area...but that's us...call and ask is my recommendation as its off season maybe you can get a house boat moored in slip at a very good rate...don't know unless ya call is my motto...

If you inquire about Ticaboo, confirm that the restaurant is open and what hours so you won't be running back and forth to Bullfrog even more just to eat.

Checkout the red trailer on the road down to Bullfrog, good price split 4 or 5 ways. VRBO also list other places in the area.

You'll probably want to stay at Ticaboo, quite reasonable especially in the off-season. There aren't any real restaurants open right now, but there's some fast-food at the Off Shore marina, 2 miles from Ticaboo toward the lake, open 8 until 6. Of course the food is quite high-priced, but you can also get ice etc there. The rooms have microwaves and fridges so you can bring stuff from home. There are outlets in the parking area so you can recharge your batteries. My wife and I have stayed several times at Defiance House right at Bullfrog, but it's kind of pricey if it's just some guys going. Oh, and diesel fuel was almost $4/gallon, so you'll want to top off your tank on the way down, at least in Hanksville!

Thanks everyone!
My main goal is to hammer the eyes in GHB and would normally shore camp to save boating time.
We are looking at hotels to make the trip super easy so all of your tips are a big help.

If your going in from the north swing over to Green River and go into town to fuel up. When I was going down there for my deer hunt it was much cheaper than Hanksville.

If you need ice stop at the Hanksville gas station that is in the hillside (forget the name). They have true block ice which lasts longer than the blocks of pressed cubes.

I have stayed at defiance house at bullfrog and also at tocaboo. My personal preference between the two is tocaboo. Seems to be a cleaner facility and I believe was a little cheaper.

Last year?
My friend arrowed what is pending a world record class buck down there last year.
My wife is trying to get the management tag and I'm trying to get the black powder tag but I fear neither of us will live long enough to draw.

Nice buck!

Shane,
Keith C. here, that is flashyfish 2.
Check out Ticaboo. We've stayed there a lot of times, I know that it is clean, you get breakfast and they are very nice to deal with. Maybe this time of the year the rates could be lower. I've timed it and it is 10 minutes to the Bullfrog launch ramp.
Give me a call if you have questions. We'll be heading to Powell when it gets warmer.
And stay at ticaboo. You can look them up in line and call them.
