Took the Kayak out on Little Dell Sunday for a couple of hours, no one was getting fish. I tried jigs, spoons, spoon and fly, wooly worm teaser, nuttin. Got my skunk out of the way for the year. It was fun paddling my brains out, and it is some walk to the water.
Any suggestions for the future? I believe I have caught all cuts in the past.

Any idea on the water temp? I'm not positive on this but I believe the Bonneville Cutts (Little Dell strain) practically go dormant in the winter and will not really become active again until the water gets closer to about 45 degrees. Much unlike the Bear Lake Cutts(Bear Lake, Strawberry) that really eat it up right at ice off.
Anyone know if that theory is correct or have any science behind that?
If anything I would suggest fishing leech patterns or tubes off the bottom very very slowly. Was thinking I might take the fly rod up there tomorrow night, will let you know if I have any luck.

If it makes you feel better I don't think anyone did good anywhere this past weekend in many places. I'm a firm believer that if they aren't biting the smaller the better, so I often use small nymphs if things are slow

I am thinking nymphs, maybe rig with a weight on end of spin line, a tag line 2 feet up with nymph. Drop shot?
