Has any one been up to Deer Creek lately? I want to head up to try for some Smallies.

It is still a little chilly for the smallmouth. Plenty of trout though.

Was up there yesterday. Fantastic, beautiful weather and fabulous fishing if rainbow was your target, which it was for me.

The decontamination station is operational but they don't seem too excited to take the time to spray your boat down. at least not yesterday.

The bows were slamming the lures I was using all day long on the North end. 30-40' of water using diving or sinking rainbow jointed Rapalas, speed @ 1.5 mph. Water temp got up to 62 deg. The bite never let off all day long. One of those perfect days that will always be remembered. Boated 20 fish. Most of them were 15 or so inches and were nice an healthy. a couple were around 18 or 19 inches. They were hitting the lure so hard that poles were jumping out of the rod holder.
