FYI Took a drive to Porcupine to see what was happening up there. The Water has come up a little bit. I drove to the first launch point to see how bad it was, and I was pleasantly surprised, looks like someone had got in there with a grader (Thank you). I did not make it to the back launch point.

Fished it yesterday and last Saturday. El skunko both times. Last Saturday one guy I talked to caught a brown. Didn't see anyone else catching yesterday or last week. There is a lot of debris in the water now and the schools of fish are all throughout the water column. Seems like there is no rhyme or reason to where they are at. Worse yet I didn't get any hits on my trolling flies.

Another member posted some pics of the ramp, could have been Quickly but I noticed that on one of his pics it appeared that the bottom of the ramp had been graded, there was no pic of the upper end, like you posted. That is quite an improvement, thanks for posting the pics. I can't even remember how long ago it was that anyone graded that ramp but it has been a long time ago.

Wow what an improvement on that ramp. I might go back to my boat up there instead of my toon. Much better, we owe that guy a box of donuts for being gutsy enough to take a grader down in there. Many thanks from me as well. Later J

Luckily it was smoothed out for yesterday. The week befor really worked the 4-LO and suspension. The big question for me is has anyone had luck with the kokes yet? Trying the usual stuff hasn't worked yet.

I never go up this early in the year because I've never had any luck early. Not sure why[:/].

I wonder why that is? Kokanee at the gorge are being caught this time of year.
Would it be something with the inflow stirring up the zooplankton too much that the fish are not aggressively feeding? Someone with one of those water wolf cameras needs to head up there and see if fish even follow a dodger and squid. It seems like when I get $160 or so lots of other things pop up to buy. Like map software for the fish finder, new rods and reels, boat maintenance,..etc.

I dont think I have ever caught a koke before June up there...... Not a koke expert, but for some reason I just cant get them to cooperate early up there either.
Big thanks to the grader operator that improved the ramp. When it got wet it was marginal if you could get out even in 4-lo! Now hopefully people dont trash it and get it back to the way it looked last fall!

I think you are right but I'm no expert either but it seems to hold true on all the smaller koke lakes, not sure how it will effect Jordanelle. I'm hoping to get one of those GoPro cameras this year but I'm not sure if they will work while trolling[:/].
