Bubble up
#1
Went this morning for a few hrs to the bubble up. Didn't do that great I only managed 3 cats (10" or smaller) and 2 carp. Talked to a very nice man for a few. He and his wife were doing pretty good. Still always a great day just to get out.

That "dude in the tube" probably was doing real well along with his "queen".

Utah lake is his domain.

Drag a piece of fresh white bass real slow on the bottom and it will change your day.
Good luck.

[#0000FF]Don't know why I didn't talk to you about BFT. I almost always ask anybody else in a tube or toon if they know about BFT.

Sorry you didn't have a more hospitable intro to the bubbleup. It can be much better. We did "okay". On a good day we would have caught grundles of white bass, a couple of walleyes and channel cats until we ran out of bait and started cutting up white bass. But the combination of low water, murky water and lack of water coming out of the pipe seemed to put a damper on the normally much better fishing.

Dragging your toon all the way down across that exposed mud is hardcore. You should spend $5 to park at the harbor and launch from the ramp. Also good fishing on both sides of the harbor. We just headed for the bubbleup this morning rather than fishing out off Battle Creek. We did very well there last year in the low water too.

It's OK .I still had a good day. I didn't say anything about BFT to. I knew who you were but I just figured we were both there to just enjoy the day. I thought about launching in the harbor but I wasn't sure how much it would cost and just to be there for just a few hrs I might not have made it out of the harbor. I like to fish for large mouth in them.but I might of tried standing up on my toon. Kinds want to know just how stable it will be. But it was really nice talking with you and I'm pretty sure our paths might meet up again. I like fishing utah lake and willard so I would say the odds seem pretty good.

[#0000FF]It is likely we well see each other again...given your fave fishin' holes seem to be mine too. If you can get away during the middle of the week the chances are even better. I don't like to "play with the amateurs" on the weekend.

It does cost $5 parking fee to launch your tube or toon at Lindon. But to me it beats hauling all your gear out to the water...especially when it is so low.

The bass fishing inside Lindon is usually good during the early months. But it has been tough the last two low water years. The bass just don't get comfy in that skinny water. There are often a couple hanging under the docks but they are pretty spooky.

Don't know if I would try standing on the bottom in that shallow water. Sticky mud. I just about disappeared trying to get out far enough to sit down in my tube last year at the Knolls.

The only times you will catch me fishing on the weekends is of I'm with my kids. Thursday are usually my fishing days. And yes lugging all that to and from was not fun so I'll be going into the harbor from now on. I wish the water levels would come back up or just hasn't been that productive for me the last couple times I've been there. I'm thinking I'm going back to an area where I caught a fat 32" cat last time I was there.but that won't be for a couple weeks. Working 2 jobs and my 2 kids take up allot of my time
