A friend and I fished Millsite Reservoir today from 9:00 until about 1:30. We were is our tubes using fly tackle with fast sinking lines. We picked up mostly small (13" - 15") cutthroats but also picked up a couple of 18" rainbows, one 14" tiger trout, and one 17" splake. The water temperature was 63-64 degrees and the visibility in the water of about 7'. You can see from the pictures that the reservoir is full and just barley stopped going over the spillway. It was slow fishing but with the work starting on the dam next year the DWR are not stocking any fish. There were a lot of folks staying at the State Park campground and a couple of power boats on the water later in the day.
All in all it was a pretty good hot summer day of fishing with not too much catching.[
