X-135/X-125
#1
Does anyone have an X-135/125 Lowrance fishfinder they use. If so I'd like some imput. I'm in the market for new sonar and this so far is my choice. I'd really like to see it in action before I commit 1/2 of my months wages for one. I'll even trade snowmachine rides for a chance to push some buttons on one.

If you jig for Mac's, Go for the 4000 watts of the 135!!! While the 2500 watts of the 125 isn't bad, that's less than previous models X-97's, 91's, and the old gold standard x-85.

Played with them both and decided on the x-135. In my opinion the extra 1500 watts is worth the extra money. I also have the x-97, LCX-15 on my boat. All great units!!!

Now you're playing with POWER!!!

The 135 is what I'm leaning tword. I'd like to see the 125 in action and see if it can do the same thing for half the price.

IceFishingGod,

I've had the X40, X50, X60, X85, and now the X136. I am in the process of getting the X136 ready to go, and haven't had a chance to put it to use. I've been around the X55 which is the 1500 watt version of the X85 as well. I'm sold on the more powerful units. I don't know if the extra power is the only advantage in the more expensive units. I sometimes think that they put a better microprocessor in them too. I do know that the X136 can use a 5 foot window between the upper and lower limits. The X125 is supposed to have a 10 foot minimum window. That is because the chip can accept less input than the one in the X135 and the X136df.

I hope you enjoy the unit, whichever one you get.
