Fish Lake Utah(Need advice)
#1
Hey friends!I'm taking my family, kids etc. fishing at Fish Lake for my 30th birthday in a couple weeks. We're going to be fishing predominately from shore but spending an afternoon on a pontoon boat as well.Fishing on spinning rods.

I love fishing but am not very experienced I was wondering what pound test line I should be getting for us to handle the action and what type of line.I read the most positive things about braided line but have always used mono with a fluro leader so I have no clue.

Also does anyone have recommendations on baits for Fish Lake.I know we can jig with worms at the weed line and catch perch to our heart's content but not really interested in that :p

Thanks so much in advance I'm hoping a successful fishing trip will get my kids to be more interested in fishing and sitting still for fishing instead of wandering off lol

Me and my husband did ok last time but only at night by the inlet using powerbait and keeping it suspended with 1/2 full bobbers.

But, we spent 14 hours on a boat and caught 2 perch lol we'd never fished on a boat and literally had no clue what we were doing and I'd like to avoid that this go around!

Most fish in there aren't too huge. I wouldn't change out line. 6-8 pound test should be ample. With the boat try trolling north and south along the east ( cliff) side. Spoons, spinners, pop gear and a worm will catch them.
