Fishing Chinese style!
#1
Well I am on a month long work assignment in China. There was no possible way that I could survive without fishing for a month... So, one of the factories that I am over took me fishing one day. It was a very different experience for me, using the 12 foot fiberglass rods with a 15' length of line attached to the end. We fished underneath a very sensitive bobber using some kind of dough bait. The location looked like some kind of fishing golf course lol.

It was an extremely hot day ( 99 degrees and 98 percent humidity). Fishing started slow, then it was game on! To my surprise, one of the first fish I caught was a largemouth bass! Ended up catching quite a variety including bass, grass carp, coy. It was a blast and it made this long trip enjoyable...

Wow that's pretty cool Tom, so did you have a big fish fry with that take? I'll bet that was interesting. Thanks for sharing that sounds like fun. Later J

very, very similar to European style of fishing .Long sensitive "poles", light line, small hooks, and super sensitive floats. Many of those techniques can be adapted to our waters and will increase our catch rates. One thing they do, that we can't is chum. Good going !!

That is awesome. I got to fish in Korea once, but no bass to be had. Nice report.
