Rainbows at DC?

Just wondering, anyone finding rb's at the shallow end of the lake?

I fished there on Saturday but I stayed between the island and the main boat ramp. I trolled night crawlers on lead core and pop gear at 20 to 25 ft. Landed 5 small Bows and 1 nice 17" rainbow. I also caught on 8" perch trolling if you can believe that. It was a great day until the Power Squadron ran me off the water.

only place i've caught bows recently was on the deep end towards the damn- shallower water hasnt produced anything for us.

Nice job on the rb's and especially the lone perch.
If you are catching them trolling their numbers may be increasing slightly.
I wanted to get a very early start, do you happen to know if the gates are still locked until 6:30?

the gates open at 6am and close 10pm
