Kokanee spawning question

Regarding the Kokanee spawn at Strawberry.

Question: I have seen the wall-to-wall kokanee spawn up the Strawberry River, but wondered if all the spawning kokanee in Strawberry Res. head there, even from the Soldier Creek side. Is there another tributary that the kokanee spawn in? Can anyone shed some light on this. More curious than anything, although I wondered if late summer kokanee fishing would be better on the Strawberry side if all the fish were headed for the Strawberry River.

I have seen them in Indian Creek in the fall. Used to see them stacked up at the ladders too.

I also heard that they have been planting a strain that spawns in the lake also.

FR084 follows Trout creek north out of Strawberry. You can jump across the creek and the road parallels and crosses the creek a couple of times so it's easy access. Many Kok's in spawning colors at this time in past years.

they spawn alot of plces in thee lake as well. not just the creeks. they spawn later on sc side and in4 places. the dam the main boat ramp sc marina the apsen boat ramp and the 4th im not posting. []
