ok - here's the rest of the story.... as I wrote it....

It was a slower day, and the bite was much lighter – we ended with 34 crappie (most of these were caught by Jeff) and his last one also caught this 38" tiger muskie on 6lb FC line no less. (Didn't get weight on him though.) I get some credit for actually netting it for him for a picture as well as for having done well tying up our drop shot rigs too. - LOL

How did this happen…

While winding in his last crappie this TM hit it with one gulp but we didn't at first know what had happened but soon we knew it wasn't just another snag... the crappie soon came up the line while the TM went deeper and kept Jeff busy - man that was fun, but Jeff is really good at being patient - he got the crappie in and the TM was hooked in the upper lip too far forward so it never cut the line with its teeth, it didn't even bend the hook. He was released and quickly swam away.
