Fish Lake

Just curious if anyone has been to Fish Lake recently?
Is there any ice yet?

I'm getting really excited and was hoping with this recent storm that maybe it would start to freeze up. Looking forward to getting out on the ice soon!

Strawberry top water is 47.3 deg. and bottom water down 60' is 50 deg.

Nobody seems to care about when Scofield will freeze. It used to be the first big ice fishing destination every year. Not much excitement about it anymore.

On a quasi serious note, did Fish lake get a full quota of splake this year?

2 years in a row of ~60k splake. Looks good to me.

+ all the kokanee. I think things will be looking up at Fish Lake.

Yea, I'm heading down to ice fish Fishlake next weekend, I let you guys know if the ice is safe enough for an atv.

I called the Marina today and they said the air temp this morning was 0 degrees (seems unlikely), and at least one of the harbors was frozen up. I guess I've missed my chance for one last soft water trip.

I feel like I'm pretty gung ho about the hard water but man, I feel like I'd have to wear water wings to feel good about getting on ice this early.
