Yuba is dangerous
#1
Well decided to finally make a fall trip to yuba to chase some northerns...water ranged from 36-40.7 degrees. Launched at the state Park and headed accross main bay toward painted rocks. Uhhh...not gonna happen waaay before painted rocks we found ourselves in 4 ft of water and decided to turn back.

Fished the main bay, deepest water was approximately 24ft.

Headed down toward the dam staying in about 23ft of water and all the sudden the my lund hit something and we found ourselves high centered on the cement drainage outlet which was only about a food under water. After rocking that 21ft pro v and with the help of the wind we were able to finally break away and see what damage was caused. Surprisingly the hull was fine the lower unit did get bumped along with the proper and my steering seems to be jacked up but overall better than I expected good thing we were only going 4mph...

Fishing was slow marked quite a few fish but not very active...got bit off once, buddy had 1 eyeball on and that was it...

Bottom line be careful at Yuba!

Ouch!
The sound of that had to be gut wrenching.
I cringe just pulling up on a beach must less a concrete structure.

When we are going to pull up on the shore we throw down a piece of carpet and pull the boat up on it to keep the hull from get scratched or dinged up.
