Echo and East canyon question

For anyone who was up at Echo today has anything changed with the slick walking conditions?(i would guess it hasnt) I want to get out this Sat and take my boys but need to find a solution for us if it is still slick up there. Any general parts of the lake to catch any fish? Just want to get my 7 and 8 year old onto anything, dont really care about size.
Anyone been out to East canyon who can give an update on any ice there yet?

East canyon mostly capped yesterday except a portion in the middle

Here's an Echo photograph from 5 minutes ago taken on my way to Flaming Gorge.

The ice looks shiny and slick and the air temperature is 33 degrees.
