Left the parking area at browning point with BRL1 at 6 am. Headed in the general direction of cemetery point. Started punching holes in 33 for. After an hour or so searching found a few cooperative fish in 47 fow. Bite died at 8:30. Ended with 23 crappie and 4 bonus perch. Thought it was a pretty good morning since both of us were trying to figure out new electronics and our first real shot at trying to target crappie.

Thanks for the report. I'd say that's a great outing for your first time targeting crappie. Nice job!

Congrats on your catch sir... Had a couple question about Browning point if you dont mind. Fished it a couple times, but have always walked over from port ramp... question... Is the road to browning point plowed, hows the parking, and is the snowmobile access there or just walk in... planning on heading that way maybe tomorrow....
Thank you...

The road is plowed. Not much of a parking area to speak of. Just the end of a dead end road. Can get real crowded. I'm sure you could get a snowmobile down from there but it might be tight parking a trailer. I have only seen people walk in from there. Hope that helps.

Thanks Lance, that does help... Looked at it on google earth last night. There looks to be some signs at the end of the parking area with a couple barricades with a walk way path between the two. Hope its wide enough for a sled if permitted. I think Ill leave a bit early today to check it out.
Thank you for the info sir...

If any one is there before, you most likely will not be able to turn around with a trailer. If you do take a trailer it better be very small, very limited space. It will be a challenge getting a sled in there. Might be easier at cemetery point. It is a short drive on a sled.

Good info sir, There were a few trucks there when I arrived around 2.30 Was able to get the small trailer turned around and backed into a spot near the gate. was expecting much more snow. never unloaded the sled, but do think I could have got around and onto the trail. Also checked out the sign and nothing posted about atv or sleds. Walked out to about 40 fow and started catching about 4.30 1 perch, 1 cat, and a limit of crappie. was home by 930. Glad I went there just to check it out. But yes would be much easier to go to cemetery then maneuver the barricade. edges were solid, no slush, great ice with and inch or two of snow...
Thanks for all the info fellers....
Warning.... The said parking / turn around spot is a solid sheet of ice, watch your step and way better for a 4wd if you drive the last 50 feet to the end....
