Took my lil homie to PV today. Was pretty sure we could get into some good Crappie action. We arrived later than I'd have liked but were on the ice fishing by almost 9am. Hard sometimes to get a 4yr old ready and out the door. We landed 17 Crappie and 1 real nice perch by 10:20 when the bite shut off. Decided to pick up and try an old Perch spot. We found what looked like a nice school of fish but they were pretty stubborn. Would follow my jig up n down but wouldnt really bite. Fished from 11-3. Landed 1 8" perch and had 5 bites that I was unable to hook up. Sure is fun having my little buddy on the ice with me.

That's a priceless photo of your son. Enjoy all the times you'll have with him as the time flies by. My 6 year old son is now 28.

Dang you took the 4 wheeler on the ice. I wouldn't trust the multi ice / water layer to toss a toy out there yet.

After the last few days of temperatures in the low teens the ice is thick and solid all the way through and the edges are as well. No issues at all.
