debating on Cisco or Burbot this weekend

Don't bother with the Cisco this weekend, I think you'll be disappointed. I've been checking Cisco beach every morning for the last few days and there is no sign of them yet. A few were caught in boats on the rockpile, but the ice has put an end to the boating thing. There is also not enough ice to fish or stand on as of today. The following weekend will be right on target for numbers of spawning ciscos and possibly good ice conditions next to shore. It's possible that a few will be in to shore on Sunday and probably a sure thing by Tuesday or Wednesday.

Just trying to save you a wasted trip.
