Birch Creek Access?

Want to head up there soon but not sure what road conditions and access are like other than Monty Road is closed. Does anyone know if the road up to the damn is plowed enough for a truck, 4 wheeler or is it a snowmobile only endevour? Not afraid of hauling gear up the damn, just don't want to start from the highway. Lol! Any info would be greatly appreciated!

With the storm we've been getting the only way for sure is a snowmobile or 4 wheeler by now. Once snow hit's the area they only plow up to the houses in the area.

Thanks for that info. You think the wheeler is still an option then? Unfortunately there is not a power sled in my fish fighting arsenal yet. [fishon]

If no other bfter meaaage you maybe try calling one of the gas station or mechanic in the area.

Snowmobile only. Someone tried breaking a trail with their truck but only made it about 20 feet and got stuck. I ended up pulling them out. I made it to the Dam on my snow machine and started walking up the Dam but got about half way up and turned around because the snow drifts were up to my chest. The road has about two feet of snow, maybe more now since it snowed up there. I'm going up again tomorrow to give it another shot.

Thanks for that sharksugar! That was exactly what I was afraid of. Guess Birch Creek will have to wait till spring for me! Hope your next attempt goes better. There are definately some fish in that pond that are worth the effort.
