I have done this up at the berry. I hooked a grub up through its side so it looked injured. And then I used a kastmaster as the attractant. I dip the kastmaster down into the sediment then lift to create the plum. Then using the electronics, bouncing the jig. It has worked, but it wasn't fast and furious.

I haven't tried it but it definitely looks like it's worth giving it a shot.

Bottom bouncing works I have a marcum with video feed and use it to see what the heck is going on down there I don't know if it produces more bite but fish are curious and come to investigate work really well at strawberry

I have a crazy idea about this I have yet to test.
I was watching underwater vids of perch on Youtube while trying to learn more about icefishing a few years back. I noticed that the vertical jigging movements attracted perch, but they would often rush up in groups and stare at the lure. Eventually, one would swipe of nibble at it, and the others would suddenly get all competitive and try to snatch it out of his mouth. Some day when I have a moment, I plan on making or finding some kind of lifelike 6" perch "decoy' or dummy, with a small hook coming out of his nose and a little weight toward his head. The plan is to bait the nose-hook with a bloodworm or something, pound the bottom with his nose to raise a dust cloud, and see if the others try to swipe it out of his mouth when I raise him 6' off the bottom.
