Fish Lake Perch Tourney
#1
Went up Friday afternoon, did fairly well. Found a spot and left hut overnight! Returned Sat. morning at 0700. , Fished till around 1000. The wind was outrageous! Blew our Clam Bigfoot right out of its stakes! Knocked my son who is 6'2" on his back and 11 yr old grandson on his back! Grandson got hit in face, but no serious damage! Managed to get off the ice around 1030. It was a miserable time! Saw lots of tents get uprooted too! Went to store to get one grandson a change of clothes, he fell in that one spot that was totally slush, by the game warden spot! Just happened to ask the clerk if they find one during the thaw if we could claim it, etc. She told me they were looking for some as we speak and that they would put them out front of store, to wait a few hrs and check back. When I walked out of the store, it was sitting in the porch!! What a stroke of luck, it had one broken pole on top, but can be replaced! Lost a white plastic tackle box full of ice flies and son lost pair of gloves, and a lantern. Just glad we were all safe and managed to get my hut back! Hopefull some of the others we saw who lost their huts got them back too! One of the worst trips weather wise for us, but grandsons will never forget this trip! Had a decent fishing trip too! Check out the photo!

UGH! add me to the list. I may have even been pretty close to you and your clam tent. We had a red quick fish 3 and a Cabela's double tent that got ripped from it's roots. If anybody happens upon them by chance my initials are on the red one (Eskimo quick fish 3) I can give a pretty good description of the black one too but..........

I know it's unlikely, but I gotta try.
