Fished rainbow bay from 7:30 to 11 this morning will very slow results. Started in 15' of water with a no takers moved out to 25' and iced a 2 12" planter bows suspended 12 feet and that was it. Both we caught on white paddle bug. Moved one more time out to 40' poked 5 holes looking for perch but to no avail. Ice was 4-5" thick with a thin skiff of snow which made for easy walking.

Did you see anyone else on the ice at the island? How about an atv on the ice, does it look like strong ice?
They put a ton of baby rainbows in last fall, did you see them?

No atv's on Beer Creek. I guess they pollute more than 10,000 boats on a summers day.

However, I talked with the CO for that area 2 years ago and asked him about that rule and he said that IF an ice fisherman had an OHV on the ice and was obeying all the fishing rules he would not issue a citation or request the OHV be removed immediately. However, if an ice fisherman gave an attitude while being checked for compliance, the CO would in fact take some sort of action on the illegal use of the OHV on the ice.[/#800000]

[#800000]I don't fish Deer Creek on the ice, so I have never had an occasion to test this situation personally. But again, the use of OHVs on the ice at Deer Creek is officially illegal. Let your conscience and your own risk assessment be your guide. [sly][/#800000]

Very busy around the Island when I drove by. Also a fairly large group on the north end as well. As mentioned above no ATV's on DC. Negative on the baby bows. The only 2 fish sightings we had were the 2 we iced that were the 12" planter version that lived to see another day.

The road at rainbow bay was plowed. You should have no issues.
