Hexagon ice rod
#1

here's a sweet little ice fishing rod, 1945 hexagon fly rod tip section that I
made it into a 33in. ice fishing rod.

That is a clever conversion. It makes perfect sense to use a piece of a rod with a fast action tip such as that fly rod.

I don't get hard water where I am at but I still use my "Experienced" ice fishing gear for ultra light fishing from my float tube.

I used to fish hardwater holes when I lived in Idaho and Utah. [fishon]

yea that's what I've done with all the broken rods I find or break myself or some friends have given me. this one was from my brother, it turned out pretty nice. the reel seat is wood grain plastic the guides are long shafts steel ring. the action is pretty lite, should make for a good perch rod.
