Has anyone used a showdown finder on a boat?

I tried on my dad's pontoon down fish lake a few years back.. if ur anchored up and no wind, it works.. other than that, the wind would move the boat and my line wouldn't stay up with the boat, having it go outside the transducer signal so it wouldn't pick up my jig..

I used mine fishing off a docked houseboat at Powell. It worked perfectly to show how deep the stripers were cruising, and then that my jig was exactly in that zone.

It would be almost useless in a moving boat, however.
