Tubing DC today
#1
Depsite the weather forecast, I took my tube up to DC to test the waters in preparation for a boat trip with some of my nephews Monday.

The weather forecast was not close to correct. It was a beautiful day up there. The lake was glassy most the morning with only a very occasional light sprinkle coming down.

The fish continued to play. I launched at 7:30, was done at 10:30 with 14 trout caught. They liked the flies more than anything this morning.

I ran into Tail Chaser with a group looking for perch. It didn't sound like the perch were as playful as the trout. They were headed for another part of the lake just as I ended my trip.

It's great to be back on the water again!

Love the days you brave the weather and things turn out like that! Nice catching and thanks for the report. Sounds like a nice day. Were there any size to the trout?

Yes the ramp is open.

There were boats out on the water last week.

No size to the trout this week. All a bunch of 12-13" planters.

I found some bigger ones last week.

I was fishing shallow so not too surprising. I wanted to get out and get some tugs... wasn't really interested in patiently targeting the big boys this trip.

Thanks for the report.

Did you launch near the island again or somewhere else?

Thanks![Smile]
