Okay everybody, I have played dictator here and cut and pasted from your suggestions to come up with the official rules for 2017.... See below for rules and a placard to use for your postings... Please reply to this post confirming you want to participate and I'll provide the info (team, age if under 16, and if you want to join.) Okay I ended up allowing 1 fish of your 3 from foreign waters outside of your team area, but not outside of the state... I also cut the carp from the contest... before you boo too much, I am pushing a new contest for the summer that will be similar to the ice challenge, where the goal will be largest number of species and biggest of those species... more on that later... but the carp will roll into that contest and any legal method, so bow fishing will be a go there...
Important info... Applications to contest from now until May 31.... Fish caught from March 1 to Oct 15, 2017 can be entered... Most of the other rules are the same... Still open to comments, and we can make changes if necessary... But let's do this..... Oh and one last time to do a team north brag for last years winning effort... go team north...

Made an addition to the rules to clarify youth as 16 or younger on the day the contest begins... So they are both good to go as youth... Got all four of you added to the list... Looks like we are up to twelve participants so far... I am putting all down as the same team they indicated last year, so unless you tell me other wise that is what I'm doing... Thanks for keeping the south team tough... So far the south is signing up two to one compared to the north... Kind of interesting how much excitement is already out there to get after the cats...
