Lost Creek - Any Recent Report?

Anyone been to Lost Creek recently? I hope with the recent cold snap that there will be some solid ice.

I m going to head up there tomorrow morning because my Saturday is full so I'll plan on rolling into work a bit late!

If you have been up there recently and have an ice and fish report that would be great! If not, I will furnish one tomorrow.

I did go up to Lost Creek this morning. Ice was great. Edges were firm and we drilled through 10" of solid ice.

We walked on top of the crust in the early morning, but started to sink a bit into slush by late morning.

Beautiful day!! The sun came out and we fished with our coats off.

We marked a few fish close to the west side edges at the 10 - 20 FOW and a few just off the bottom in 25 to 30 FOW. Apparently they had already eaten breakfast becasue I could not entice them to partake...

My buddy did catch one rainbow at 15 FOW. It was out of the slot! (but the wrong side [])

I did try to move into deeper water, but saw nothing down low.

Loved the opportunity to get out and enjoy the morning. We saw 10 - 20 bald eagles in their nests on the way up. Pretty awesome site.

Thanks for the report on LC, glad to hear the ice is still good there. Has the piles of snow melted up there along the shore and the parking lot? When I was up there a few weeks past, I was surprised at how much snow was up there. Not sure if the road is open to the boat ramp now but I've always done better ice fishing in the back there, than fishing by the dam.

WH, There was still a lot of snow on Friday. I pulled my sled down in 100% snow and now mud.

Thanks for the advice. I will try towards the boat ramp next time!

One nice thing was that the road had been repaired vs. last time I went up. On my way down there was a guy doing more repair.

Sweet, thanks for the info on the road repairs, hope it holds up better than the repairs did from last Fall. When we were up there last, there were big chunks that had come out of the holes they repair before.
