It's been about a week since the last report. How's the ice holding up with this warm weather? Would rather get after the "Steelies" if possible, If not we'll probably have to fish the Berry tomorrow. Thanks.

Starvation still has a lot of ice. There is open water under the bridge and next to rocks and cliff areas that are warmed by the sun. Lake water levels are dropping drastically in preparation of receiving spring runoff. Last I heard, the lake level has dropped over 8 feet over the last month. As a result, there are broken up sheets of ice along the shoreline and the edges are generally solid. The last time I was on the lake was Friday March 3. We have had a lot of wind the last couple days but I looked at the lake yesterday (Monday) and the ice was holding on. The northern end of the lake seems to have the thickest ice. As always, be extra careful.
