Easier for me to type boat than Nissan Armada. Yes Strawberry is definitely not boat friendly these days.

I eagerly await your report on the trip. I planned on hitting the berry this weekend for one last sit on the hard deck. But worry with the temps, the slush monster will rear his ugly head.

There was no slush around the Strawberry Marina area. The snow was soft, which made it a little more difficult to walk, but not bad.

I managed to land 16, lost about the same number on the way to the hole, and missed more bites than I should have. I have had worse days at Strawberry.

I experimented using my ultralight rods, and although it was fun reeling them in on the light rods I doubt I will do that again at Strawberry. Couldn't get the hook into them deep enough with the light rods. Also, I can't remember the last time I caught fish at Strawberry and I didn't catch any on cut bait. All fish were caught tipping with meal worms and I didn't have a bite on cut bait. Really strange.

Tks -- as Brookie was implying, you did have a good boatload....plan on being up there Wed. for a see, and hope we have a few weeks left....Last year our last good trip to the ice here was on April 11....don't know if we can match that this year, but we'll see....'I love big cutts, and I cannot lie'
