[#0000FF]There was an article in this morning's Salt Lake Tribune on the upcoming dredging operation at Provo Harbor. Here is a copy and paste of the article.
Also...at no extra charge...a page I put together on mileages on Utah Lake...from point to point. I love Google Earth.

I was glad to read that this morning. Looking forward to launching my boat several times this year from the Utah State Park chasing the cats. I have made many of those trips on your mileage chart, including from Lincoln Beach to north of Pelican Point.

[#0000FF]Maybe the water levels will climb back up into your fave kitty spots again this year.
Looking forward to being able to fish the Knolls again too.
More and more folks have GPS now, for tracking their mileages. But I thought it might be handy to have a general list of the mileages for quick reference.
Lemme know if you need some midweek cat chasin' company.

Will do and there is a high probability that I will need that.

[#0000FF]Fear not. There will still be plenty of the power squadron...with daddy's big boats...using anchored anglers and float tubers as slalom pylons.
During warmer times I launch early and quit early. When I come in just before noon...even on weekdays...there is usually a lineup of thrill seekers clogging the ramp. The low water last year thinned the herd but they will be back in full force this year.
Might take some of the pressure off Deer Creek.

So the article mentioned that they did not want to bother the June Sucker spawn. But the project was to be in April ?? I thought that the Junies spawned in JUNE, that it why they are called JUNE SUCKERS !! All the other suckers spawn in late April, early May, so what gives ??? Some thing is fishy here !!!!
As to launching, you can do so now. AF has 3-4 ft of water, so I assume that the rest of the harbors are full enough !!

One can hope. But I will not be holding my breath on it.

[#0000FF]I'm guessing that the timing considerations are based upon how much construction they will be doing on both the dikes and the coffer dam at the mouth of the harbor. The project was to run from April to August. If there are lots of heavy trucks and machinery running along the roads next to the Provo River at the time the Junies are trying to navigate up the river it might be disruptive. We can't be flustering our beloved Junies.
But, then again, I long ago quit trying to see the reasoning behind gummint decisions.
