I inherited a couple of spinning rods from my deceased uncle. Can someone advise me about attaching a reel?
The flexible portion of the rod is detachable from the handle. The rod has an aluminum end that fits into the handle and is squeezed securely, much like a drill bit is squeezed by the drill's chuck. I don't see any way to mount a reel, other than hose clamps or zip ties: and there are no marks or scars indicating that he did such a thing.
I looked through his tackle boxes and didn't find anything that would solve the problem. Any advise?
