Nice day at Lincoln today. Probably 15-20 boats and lots of bank tanglers. Water was only 57 degrees at 7 a.m. and only warmed to 59 by 11:00. Good cat fishing... caught about a dozen or so but only one that was just shy of 28 inches, big male that weighed 10.4 pounds. Most were caught in about 2 feet of water, carp and wb worked well for bait.
Weather is finally warming so expect better fishun' next week. Wanna try a night shift too.
Carp are still active but the cold water has taken some of the lust out of them. Several groups, probably scouts, stalking them in the newly flooded weeds along the South shore. Plan to replenish my carp supply when the water warms next week.
Water is noticeably higher and no problem launching bigger boats in the channel.

Way to go BLK! I still haven't caught a kitty this spring, as the water up here has been cooler and running high. I'm wondering if it will ever improve, but it has to right?
Friend of mine caught one at 32" but he's not in the contest. It's been few and far between.

Congratulations Lynn on a fine outing. I need to get down there soon, but unless someone takes pity on me I will be fishing from the shore (boat at Lee's Marine for awhile).

Hey, either we have too much water or not enough. Sometime, soon I hope, things will start to level out and we will have good water and good weather both north and south.
First part of this coming week looks like good weather down this way but that probably means more water up your way. Either way I guess we have to look at it as a blessing.
By the way, if you happen to know where Sharksugar lives stop by and let the air out of the tires on his truck -- three over thirty and we're just getting started!![shocked]

[#0000FF]As soon as the prevailing winds shift back from the south I will be joining you on that end of the lake.
Thinking the Knolls Tuesday or Wednesday.
You should put kentofnsl in your boat with you. He ain't too bad in the fishing department. Also newly retired. And his boat is in the infirmary.
