Hyrum from shore?

Where's a good spot to fish Hyrum reservoir from the shore? Has anyone done good/bad there?

Do mean by the rocky dam where 300 South goes by (Point A)? Or do you mean further south (Point B)?

Reason I ask is because I only notice a small fingerling cove at point A.

I've only fished Hyrum twice at Point C, because my kids were with me and the beach was a nice place for them to explore and play.

I may head up there tomorrow for some sunrise fishing with a buddy and I've love to try a new spot.

To answer the question for the OP, I have fished Hyrum from shore three times. Twice in October, once I caught a limit of rainbows. They jumped like crazy and it was some of the funnest fishing I've ever had. Biggest was probably around 14". The other October time I got skunked. Third time I went--I can't remember the time of year but I'm pretty sure it was in the fall, we caught a couple of nice bows between us in our group.

All three of those times I fished from the beach where you pay and drive down a paved switchback. It's the State Park Beach Day Use area off of 5th south.

All fish I caught were with fly and bubble, I seem to remember having success with Renegade type flies (black ones).

What are you trying to catch? I used to go there daily after work a few summers back and had good success for bass fishing off of the dam. But mornings usually panned out really good to until all the ski boats showed up and the weather got to hot.
