Muskies, Inc. Mountain West Muskie Chapter 65 has started receiving multiple calls reporting numerous tagged fish and we are collecting data based on each catch!
Currently only Pineview has this age/growth study. The chapter received Grant funds from Muskies, Inc. Research and Fishery Council to do this study and helping the DWR.
Its very exciting to see catch and release fishing at its finest with already fish being recaptured! Good job to those who have already called and reported their catches!
Again this isn't a contest and all tiger muskies from PV must be released.
The number on the tags is not always monitored, several different chapter members have access and we rotate so when you call to report a catch please leave a detailed message about your catch with the tag number, size of fish, date captured and area of the lake it is captured in (optional).
Thank you all for your help in aiding UDWR and Muskies, Inc. and Chapter 65 in this awesome study! This will greatly improve our fisheries in years to come for Utah and the entire Mountain West Region!
