Went down to Utah lake today and did some scouting. Been over 20 years since I've been down there and man has that place ever changed!
Went to American Fork Harbor and ended up getting there around six to be met by the nice guy at the gate that gave me some helpful tips. Ended up talking to him for about 20 min. At least he wasn't like the people on the freeway trying to get down there!
Started to throw some grubs so I could get a White bass for bait, caught 2 but it took a little while. Rigged up two poles, one with carp bait the other one with white and as soon as I set my pole down I was running in after it in that nasty water. Action was non stop till about 10 or so. Ended up only using one pole because I couldn't keep up with the bites. Caught about 17 cats and the biggest was 28".
Haven't caught that many cats in one day for a long time, fun day. Next trip will be in the boat so I can catch that 36" cat from the South team that is supposedly in there.
