Weiss Lake in July can be one tough "cookie" as was shown for my friend and I today. We started out with some shallow topwater action and it turned out to be slower than slow. We moved out to some deeper ledges and was able to put a few fish in the boat using Choo Choo Rocker jigs with Producer Craw trailers. Tough bite for an extremely hot day, and reguardless of the pouring sweat it was still "dang fun". Mike Carter
