Chinese fishing
#1
I am away in China for a month long work assignment. My driver has been fascinated by all of the fish pictures that I show him, especially ice fishing. I got a break this past Saturday, so he decided he would take me to his favorite fishing hole. I have been fishing over here before, so I knew what to expect. Using a very long pole with no reel, super sensitive bobber and tiny hooks, I spent about 5 hours dunking bait. Folks around us were doing pretty good, many catching baskets of fish. Unfortunately, I got the big skunk, with my guide only catching one. Looked like some kind of weird crappie to me, not sure what it was... I knew that I shouldn't have brought the banana with me from the hotel for lunch...

[#0000FF]Always fun to fish new waters...and in new states (or countries).

Pretty sure that is one of many species of carp to be found in Asia. There are other small carp species prized by Asians and Europeans.

What a great adventure and opportunity. Like Tubedude, I would say your fish is a carp. I'm sure it was fun to catch on that long pole. God's speed when you return.
