Hello all,
So this year I was planning on running the new clam plate with my 20v brushless dewalt drill and nils 6 in auger. Every where I have read is that the only way to get an adapter from the clam plate to the nils is through a vendor on eBay. I even emailed Clam and that was their official response. Well unfortunately the guy on eBay doesn't have any listed for sale and is not responding to messages. So now what?

I found a guy selling them on eBay.

I purchased mine a year ago from a different seller, but I would imagine the ones this guy is selling would work as well as mine has (which is great).

I am really shocked that when I emailed Clam about it they responded with go to eBay. With as popular as the Nils augers are you would think they would have them.

Be grateful that at least they led you to eBay. When I contacted them their only advice was to hire someone to make one for me. By dumb luck, I found them on eBay. I called Clam back and let them know that they were available on eBay and they didn't even thank me for the information.

Actually now that I can open that I did see that one. It said it was for the Eskimo Powerhead. I wasn’t sure if it would fit.

The title is:
"Nils Ice Auger adapter to Powerhead"
If it matches the title it should work.

That's because Nills sells them with the plate attached now:

I believe his "they" is the Clam Plate folks not Nils. The Nils one doesn't have the nice Clam Plate base. Nils just makes it so the auger won't fall down the hole if it detaches off of the drill.

Yea but the description is
“
Nils Ice Auger to Eskimo power head
For sale is an adapter that goes from your Eskimo Power head to a Nils Ice auger
( or any other power head that has a 7/8" shaft with a 3/8" hole in it )
email me any questions
this is not for the Orange convertible Nils.”
This shaft is 3/4” so I think that will be too loose.

Unfortunately, 3trout1, who sold me my adapter, doesn't have any sales listed. Maybe try sending a message to the person who has the one that isn't quite right and see if there is any chance that he/she can make one.

I have a few on hand. I needed one last year and my buddy owns a machine shop. I had him make a few for me.
