Kentucky Lake & Lake Barkley
#1
To day really felt like a first day of spring. Scattered catches of crappie started coming in today. The past few cold cloudy days the largemouth have been very good along the gravel shoreline inside the bays. Crawfish colored crankbaits really caught come good fish. Smallmouth in Kentucky Lake has been good along gravel banks on jig/pork combinations. Snagging has been good below the dams. The levels are high below the dams. Crappie have been slow but the good fishing is ready to start. The big rains that cause the lake to get muddy and move the levels up and down has passed. The gates are closing on the dams and the water is clearing nicely, especially Kentucky Lake in the north. There are areas of Lake Barkley that are clearing but are harder to find yet. I looking forward to the few weeks of fishing.

TIP: If a fish can't see your bait, he might hear it.

BITS AND PIECES: If nothing changes, nothing changes.

www.kentuckylakebarkley.com
