Central Wisconsin Walleye
#1
Hooked up with the Finicky Fooler owner and creator Tom to do some ice fishing for walleye on Petenwell Lake in central Wisconsin. We managed to catch a few jigging and and also a few on the Finicky Fooler tip ups including a nice slot walleye!

Ice fishing walleye can be tough at times but I am glad we ended up getting into a few fish. We moved 3 times before we finally found some active fish away from some crowds.

Cool videos, I like seeing what ice fishing is. A big channel was probably my funnest catch ever, only got a little guy this year but might try again with the prospect of a longer season.
Made it all the way to the lake but the snow/wind/slush combo was too much for me.
Looks like a hard one for your area now.

Thanks, glad you enjoy them! Yeah it can be tough to get used to, especially most of December and the first part of January was 0 to 20 below, but it made for some awesome ice. Most lakes around me are 20"+ and its good clear ice so hopefully it will stick around for awhile.
