The fish is a brown trout. The square tail is the giveaway and the spot pattern is typical brown trout. Very nice fish, congrats!

That is an impressive fish! I have caught a couple of OK browns out of Hyrum that were pushing 3 lbs or so, but nothing as big as the one in your pic. Congrats!
