For those that can’t tell I’m itching for some catfish. I spent a few hours trying to fish the harbor as the ice is all gone. I plan on taking the boat out in a couple days and see if I have any luck on Bird island. But it was beautiful and relaxing to sit in the sun enjoying the water. I know we need the moisture but I’m being picky and hating the ice on my favorite fishing spot.

I believe you would have better luck up close to first spring or where Benjamin comes in than the island, the water take a bit longer to warm out there at the island.
