Last Fri-Sat, I did really well at East Canyon. Went in one of the inlets. The edges were good then, no plank needed and the good ice was 7". May need a plank this weekend but I'll bet you could still get on.

Was up there today. Inlets and south end still have solid edges. Saw three groups on the south end. Looked slushy. Temp was 55 at that time. I fished the north end which seem to be deteriorating fast. Didn't get to fish the south end cuz the wife was calling. Shoulda went to the south end first since I don't get reception there. Lesson learned.

Of course the Berry will be good this weekend... Been hearing north end of the gorge is still fishable as well... I think it sounded like Fish lake is still fishing on the hard deck too... but I know they are all long trips for you... I'm in the same boat... Later J
